The inpatients in general hospitals have very frequent mental disorders. Long-term stays in the hospitals increase this risk as well as making negative effects on the ongoing treatments
of the said inpatients. In lots of studies, it has been emphasized that the physicians should be careful for the psychiatric disorders that affect the treatment process of the inpatients as
well as the period of stay in the hospital. This study is a case report. Psychodynamic formulation has been made evaluating the psychiatric disease history, psychodyamic and psychosocial history and psychological test. Keywords: Inpatients, general hospitals, long-term stays, psychiatric disorders
