Hydatid cyst disease is a parasitic infection mostly involves the liver and the lung. The spleen is one of the rare sites involved in hydatid cyst disease. The clinical presentation of the splenic hydatid cyst disease is often vague. Splenic hydatidosis is a rare site of presentation of hydatid disease and should be suspected on detection of a splenic cyst in endemic areas of
hydatid disease. Computed Tomography is the most sensitive investigation for diagnosis. Mostly splenectomy is the treatment of this rare disease. A 42 year old female patient of
hydatidosis with isolated spleen involvement which were treated surgically are reported. The patients is under control for 24 months without an event.
