Mixed connective tissue disease is a syndrome that has overlapping features with other connective tissue disease, including SLE, systemic sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Women are affected more commanly than men (7-8).
A 32 year old woman with the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis was admitted to our clinic with progresive muscle weakness for a month. Dermatomyositis diagnosed with electrophysiological evaluation and muscle biopsy. Rhumatoid arthritis which is a connective tissue disease associated with inflammatory myositis in our patient.
