Medeniyet Medical Journal is the continuation of Göztepe Medical Journal which was started publishing in 1985. It changed its name to Medeniyet Medical Journal in 2015.
The journal, which is the official publication of Istanbul Medeniyet University, is published four times in a year (March, June, September, December).

The publication language of Medeniyet Medical Journal, which is an open access and peer-reviewed journal, is English. Submission and publication are free of charge.

Clinical and experimental studies on medicine, original case reports, review articles, letters to the editor are published.

Medeniyet Medical Journal is currently indexed by PubMed Central, PubMed, Emerging Sources Citation Index, Scopus, EBSCO Academic Search Complete, i-Journals, Turk Medline, J-GATE, Turkish Citatiton Index and Tübitak Ulakbim TR Index.
