The bifid mandibular condyle is a rather uncommon case and it is often diagnosed incidentally with panoramic radiographs. Its etiology and pathogenesis is unknown, but the most commonly accepted theory is that it occurs secondary to trauma. The present case is a 40-year- old male patient with bilateral bifid mandibular condyle, which was diagnosed incidentally during a computed tomographic examination after a traffic accident.
