In our hospital, sensitivity tests of 290 Staphylococcus aureus strains isolated in 1998-2000 years and 280 Staphylococcus aureus strains isolated in 2003-2004 years were performed
and investigated the alterations on resistance rates. At two periods the resistance was not established to vancomycin; but, it was established an increase statistically unsignificant at the
second period, amikacin, teicoplanin, gentamicin, tetracycline, oxacillin and eritromycin but increase in to ciprofloxacin and rifampicin significantly. Keywords: Antimicrobial resistance, Staphylococcus aureus

Hastanemizde 1998-2000 yıllarında izole edilen 290 ve 2003-2004 yıllarında izole edilen 280 Staphylococcus aureus suşunun direnç oranlarındaki değişiklikler araştırıldı.
S. aureus suşlarında her iki dönemde de vankomisine direnç saptanmadı, ikinci dönemde amikasin, teikoplanin, gentamisin, tetrasiklin, oksasilin ve eritromisine karşı istatistiksel olarak anlamsız, siproşoksasin ve rifampisine karşı ise anlamlı bir direnç artışı saptandı.
